10 Questions With: @TheBigFashionGuy Michael-Anthony Spearman
When I joined Instagram Michael-Anthony was one of the first people I gave a follow to (and I'm obviously not alone, as he has over 33k followers at the time I'm writing this). His dapper, polished style was an inspiration and I'm constantly refreshing the app to see what he's wearing. And can we talk about the hats? No one rocks a straw boater with as much confidence as he does.
I sat down with the stylist and personal shopper to ask him my 10 Questions:
What is your favorite part of being big and/or tall?
My favorite part of being Big & Tall is the that my stature and presence alone commands attention and respect.
What is the hardest part of being big and/or tall?
The hardest part of being Big & Tall is not having enough leg room on airplanes.
If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would be my favorite double-breasted suit which is depicted here.
What is one fashion item every person should own?
Ever person should own a nice fitting blazer.
What are your go-to stores or sites for clothes?
My go-to stores and sites are JC Penney, Old Navy, Target , K & G Fashion Super Store and DXL for clothes and Asos, Amazon, and eBay for shoes and accessories.
What do you wish retailers would do differently?
I wish retailers would make the exact same clothing they make for regular sizes in Big & Tall sizes as well.
What does being “body positive” mean to you?
Body positive to me means embracing and loving the things that you can’t change about yourself and having the strength to change the things you have the ability to.
What is your biggest style regret?
I don’t think I really have a style regret. I just like to learn and grow from all my style choices.
Who are your style icons?
I don’t necessarily have a style icon. However, I gain a lot of style inspiration from street style images and fashion bloggers.
