My Current Luxury Candle Collection
Ooooh, I love a scented candle. Always have, always will, forever and ever amen. But what are the best ones? Let me walk you through my current collection:
Byredo Bibliothèque - The most masculine candle in my collection. This one is meant to smell like an old library (hence the name). I think the vessel is as refined as the scent.
Jonathan Adler Druggist LSD Candle - THIS CONTAINER!!! If you don’t keep this vessel and repurpose it after the candle is burned you are a true monster. There, I said it. It’s like buying a candle and getting a free piece of Jonathan Adler pottery!
L’Occitane x Pierre Herme Raspberry & Matcha Green Tea - When I was in Paris last summer I fell in love with Pierre Herme macarons. They’re the just-as-luxurious-but-not-as-played-out version of Laduree in my humble opinion. Since getting on a plane to Paris isn’t in the cards right now, this L’Occitane x Pierre Herme candle is the next best thing.
Diptyque Feu de Bois - This is, actually, my favorite candle of all time. I light this one in the cooler months, and from November to March Chez ExtraExtra smells like a rich, delicious fire. I don’t usually love smokey scents, but I love this one. Go figure.
Goop x Heretic This Smells Like My Vagina - Come for the name, stay for the scent.
D. Porthault Summer Candle - Porthault is so expensive that basically all I can afford there is this candle. But it’s worth it. Perfectly encapsulates the smell of the season in an elegant candle.
