My Picks from Bonobos' New Extended Sizes
When Bonobos launched extended sizes - up to a 54” waist - I shed a big, plus size tear. Finally a place where normal guys (don’t forget - the average waist size for American men is 40”, and that was last updated in 2014) can get normal clothes and look abnormally good. I like streetwear as much as the next guy (lol, JK) but sometimes I just want the perfect grey wool trousers, ya know? Is that too much too much to ask? Well, it was until just recently.
So, below are my picks from Bonobos’ range of extended sizes. Coming to soon to my closet and your Instagram feed:
You’d think a good navy blazer would be easy to find. But you’d also think I’d have more than 8k followers on Instagram. In both cases, you’d be wrong. I like this because it’s unstructured (meaning there’s no lining) so it doesn’t give you robot-looking shoulders and it keeps you cool. Plus, it’s made from Italian wool which everyone knows makes you look rich. Plus, it comes in 8 colors. Too often big guys get one choice.
Man I love these pants. And since I wear jeans 366 days a year, that’s saying a lot. I can’t wait to wear these with an off-white Uniqlo cashmere turtleneck and Gucci mules.
I may not drink wine, but I’ll let my eyes drink in my legs when they’re wearing wine. What? That doesn’t quite make sense. My point is: buy these pants. You’ll be glad you did. With a navy sweater????? C’mon!!
What is on this shirt? Antelopes? Moose? I don’t know. But what I do know is you definitely don’t own a shirt like this already. So live a little!
And, last but not least:
It’s about GD time that a retailer realized that big guys do more than sit around the house in a graphic tee and sweatpants. Maybe we get invited to black tie weddings. Or a New Year’s Eve party. Or an important fundraising event for work. Whatever it is, we want, no DESERVE, to look good too.
