This Cleanser Tamed my Maskne
People who love Augustinus Bader products LOVE Augustinus Bader products. I tried both the Rich Cream and The Cream when they first launched and, though I liked them, it wasn’t LOVE in all caps. Maybe it was more like LoVe. The Rich Cream was a little too thick for my oily, acne prone skin. I had better luck with the The Cream, but oh man: The Price. Bader is expensive, there’s no way around it.
But the cleanser. Or “The Cleanser” or however they write it. It’s good. It’s really good. After two days of using it the acne on my chin was calm, less red, and diminishing in its…dimensionality. Now, after about a month of using it at night, I still get the occasional blemish but they’re small and go away quickly. Pre-Augustinus I would wake up to a new, throbbing zit Every. Single. Morning.
The cleanser is a white, gel/cream texture. I use 4 pumps to cover my big ole face, but you could probably use less. No fragrance, no frills: the performance is what is supposed to wind you up, not the packaging (though it is beautiful, but not not travel-friendly as it is glass).
It’s expensive, but I recommend. Highly. My skin is clear, smooth, clean, but not tight.
