Glyph Shoes Are A Treat for Wide Feet
Here’s the bottom line: I’ve got wide feet. Like, not freakishly wide (I don’t think?) but wide enough that when I try shoes on it’s a real gamble whether I’ll be able to get my foot more than toe-deep into some styles. The kicker - no pun intended - that my preferred shoe silhouette is a dainty little Belgian Loafer-esque style (a la these from Mr. Porter).
What’s a loafer-loving wide-footed guy to do? Roll over and die? No! Try, try, try, and try again. Enter Glyph Shoes. They reached out to me last week and asked if I wanted to give a pair of their shoes a try. I looked at their site, saw the slim silhouette of the shoe, read about the 3D knit construction, saw they were OK in wet weather, and said “Yes, please!”
But first, I asked them how they worked on a wide foot. They said they were great. I didn’t believe them. (What can I say? I’m a skeptical New Yorker).
They arrived at my building a few days later, and - TA DA!!!
I’m actually obsessed. And not in the typical blogger “obsessed” way, but TRULY obsessed. I have worn them 2 out of 2 days that I’ve had them. They’re beyond comfortable, super cute, good for the environment.
Srsly - give ‘em a try! Looking for other good options for wide feet? Check out my post from the fall on the Best Shoes for Wide Feet.
